Once again, we will be at the West Loop's historic City Hall venue with dinner and mingling beforehand at Recess.

Our Annual Dinner will feature a special conversation between two distinguished alumni at the helm of vital American institutions: Judge Candace Jackson-Akiwumi '00 of the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit and Edward Felsenthal '88, Executive Chairman and former Chief Executive Officer of TIME. They wil be discussing topics in the theme of 

The Law and The Press: A View from the Front Lines

This is sure to be a fascinating and unique perspective from two leaders in their respective fields!

We will also be honoring two incredible alums with service awards: Rick Woldenberg '81 P15 will be receiving the Arnold M. Berlin '46 Distinguished Service to Princeton Award and Seth Green '01 S02 will receive the John Fish '55 Distinguished Service to the Community Award. Congratulations to both!

As we have in the past, we are offering Honor Code Assistance tickets. If, but for the lack of funds, you would have otherwise joined us, we are offering discounted tickets for those who truly need them.

Edward Felsenthal '88

Edward Felsenthal has been a leading voice in American journalism for decades. As Executive Chairman and former CEO of TIME, he guided one of the country’s most influential news organizations through a period of profound transformation, safeguarding its editorial mission while steering it into a new era. Prior to joining Time, he helped launch The Daily Beast. Today he is Special Advisor to the CEO of Salesforce. A highly committed alum, he serves on Princeton's Board of Trustees.

Candace Jackson-Akiwumi '00

Judge Jackson-Akiwumi is a trailblazing jurist whose career reflects a deep commitment to public service and the rule of law. She brings to the federal bench a wealth of experience from her work as a federal public defender and in private practice. She has also contributed significantly to the Princeton community, coordinating admissions interviews and engagement as Chair of the Chicago Alumni Schools Committee, serving a decade on the Board of the Princeton Club of Chicago, and serving on the Alumni Council's Nominations Committee and Committee on Regional Associations.

Arnold M. Berlin ’46 Distinguished Service to Princeton Award Recipient
Rick Woldenberg ‘81 P15

Rick is CEO of Learning Resources, Inc. and hand2mind, Inc.,educational materials and educational toy companies based in Vernon Hills, Illinois. The companies sell more than 2,500 hands-on learning products in more than 100 countries. 
In April 2025, Rick’s companies filed suit in Federal District Court to contest IEEPA tariffs, reaching the Supreme Court on November 5, 2025. The Supreme Court’s Feb. 20th decision in Learning Resources, inc. et.al. v. Trump invalidated IEEPA tariffs consistent with the companies’ legal arguments and has been called the most important case of the Century in the New York Times. 
A lifetime Chicago resident, Rick is a member of the Class of 1981 and received a BSE in Chemical Engineering. He is also a 1986 graduate of the University of Chicago Law School. Rick has served his Princeton class on committees for several reunions, acted as Chair of the Chicagoland North ASC District for many years and served on the CTNAT for three years, one as Chairman.

John Fish '55 Distinguished Service to the Community Award Recipient
Seth Green '01 S02

Seth serves as Dean of the University of Chicago Graham School, which welcomes learners of all ages who seek to deepen their understanding of the world and lead examined lives. During Green’s tenure, the school has grown significantly, expanding its longstanding role in liberal education for adults and launching new initiatives to support individuals in designing purposeful encore chapters.
Before UChicago, Green served as Founding Director of the Baumhart Center for Social Enterprise and Responsibility at Loyola University Chicago. During his tenure, the Center launched a top-ranked specialty MBA program, a globally significant award for social innovation in business, and an array of programs that helped executives and students integrate profit and purpose.
Prior to Loyola, Green led Youth & Opportunity United (Y.O.U.), a nonprofit organization that prepares low-income youth for post-secondary and life success. At Y.O.U., Green oversaw the fourfold expansion of programs and a $16.4 million fundraising campaign that included a state-of-the-art youth center.
Green holds a J.D. from Yale University, master’s degrees from Oxford University and the London School of Economics (on a Marshall Scholarship), and a bachelor’s degree from Princeton University.
