Volunteer Opportunity: Repack with Greater Chicago Food Depository
You will repack donated and purchased food. The food received at Greater Chicago Food Depository’s warehouse comes in bulk quantities, and volunteers break it down into manageable sizes. Together, we can properly and efficiently distribute quality food to participating food pantries, soup kitchens, and shelters in Cook County. In a Repack session you may sort produce, inspect and box shipments of bread, or repack bulk dry goods (pasta, rice, beans) into smaller quantities.

-This event is limited to 21 total registrants.
-Ages 11+ are welcome.
-Free Parking is available onsite.
-Please arrive 15 minutes prior for check in.
-If interested, email Louis Tambellini ‘18 at tambellini.louis@gmail.com for carpool requests or space available. We will seek to match as many people as possible but transportation to the event is not guaranteed.
-COVID-19: All in-person volunteers and employees are required to be vaccinated. As a volunteer, you will be asked to verbally attest your vaccination status before each volunteer opportunity.
