Help fight hunger at JUF’s Uptown Cafe
Join the Princeton Club of Chicago, in partnership with the Association of Jewish Princeton Alumni (AJPA), as we volunteer at the Jewish United Fund’s Uptown Cafe—a restaurant style kosher soup kitchen and one of Chicago's first kosher anti-hunger programs serving both Jewish and non-Jewish community members in need.
Volunteers will wait tables for Cafe guests and, once everyone is served, are encouraged to sit and share a meal with them. Many diners experience social isolation, and this person-to-person connection is a meaningful part of the experience. In addition to providing hot meals in a restaurant-style setting, the Uptown Cafe offers dignity, community, and hope to those who need it most.
