Join Melody Chu '01 for a book talk on her novel Mathey Girls
Come meet Melody Chu '01 as she talks about Mathey Girls, her work of contemporary AAPI fiction that tackles themes of decades-long friendships, imposter syndrome, and grief. Inspired by her personal Princeton experience, it's a heartfelt, moving novel about a Chinese American woman coming to terms with the evolving nature of family and friendship after the loss of her best friend.
Princeton plays a prominent role in the shared experience of a group of predominantly Asian American women who became friends as freshmen at Mathey College. Mathey Girls was recently featured as the inaugural book club selection of the Asian American Alumni Association of Princeton (A4P). The book talk is co-hosted by the Princeton Club of Chicago and A4P.
We will gather in-person in the cozy Reading Room at Kibbitznest (2212 N. Clybourn) for a
meet and greet with a short reading and Q&A.
Limited spots available, so reserve soon! Light refreshments will be provided.
