Professor Robert Kenyon S*80, Director of Graduate Studies at UIC’s Computer Science Dept., has generously offered to take us on a tour of virtual reality.  The precept will be in the Electronic Visualization Lab (EVL).  It will cover EVL’s work from Star War’s Death Star through to today’s research into human adaption to virtual environments, wearable technology, full immersion, and Virtual Rehabilitation (e.g., for post-stroke patients).  We’ll see VR applications from the entertaining to the serious and bettering of lives.  The precept ends with a tour of the CAVE, an audio-visual automatic virtual environment.  This should be fun and amazing!  Please join us for a REAL and educational experience.
