"EATING CLUB" DINNER & WINE PAIRING WITH MATTHEW SUSSMAN '09 - JANUARY 15, 2020
The Princeton Club of Chicago invites you to join fellow Tigers and friends for dinner and wine pairings at Table, Donkey and Stick with proprietor and sommelier, Matthew Sussman '09!
A native New Yorker, Matt moved to Chicago in 2009 immediately after graduating from Princeton. During a Princeton Project '55 Fellowship focused on urban sustainability, he pursued his interest in the restaurant industry by staging at several bakeries and restaurants in Chicago. He also began experimenting with old-world baking techniques using commercial equipment he kept in his garage. At the end of 2012, Matt opened Table, Donkey and Stick, which offers seasonal fare honoring the drinking and eating traditions of the Alps. The restaurant has been named one of Chicago's best restaurants in Chicago Magazine, and received six consecutive Bib Gourmands from the Michelin Guide. Matt has also garnered acclaim for the wine list at Table, Donkey and Stick. He has most recently been named a finalist in the 2020 Jean Banchet awards for Best Sommelier in Chicago! In 2016, Matt opened Danke, a sandwich and charcuterie shop and wine bar, in Revival Food Hall at 125 S Clark Street.
