The Princeton Club of Chicago in partnership with the Stanford GSB Alumni Chapter of Chicago is pleased to invite fellow Tigers to attend this exciting event, "Trunk Club...how the heck did they do that??", featuring Brian Spaly '99 Stanford GSB MBA '07 and Rob Chesney Kellogg MBA '98.

Trunk Club, a Chicago-based personalized clothing service, was founded in 2009, and sold to Nordstrom in 2014 for $350M.
Trunk Club is an inspirational and fascinating story. Regardless of your career and professional goals, we’re confident you’ll learn some helpful things, meet some great Princeton and Stanford alums, and enjoy this event. We are also opening up this event to alumni from the local Kellogg MBA alumni club, which will offer even more networking opportunities. We hope you’ll join us for what promises to be a fantastic event!

The goals of the event are for attendees to:

  • Learn the specific strategic and tactical steps it took to grow Trunk Club from an idea, to scale (building the brand, growth strategy, operating leverage, etc.), positioning it to be acquired, and then continuing growth as part of a new parent organization.
  • Meet new people (as well as old friends); network with local alumni from Princeton, Stanford and Northwestern, as well as the Trunk Club team.
